Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Department: Freight Audit and Payment
Reports To: FAP Supervisor, Freight Audit and Payment

Position based in Brampton, Ontario.
This position will support Freight Audit and Payment service offering for assigned accounts, and facilitate problem resolution by communicating directly with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support Data Entry as required
  • Review and monitor all relevant reports, and action accordingly (including but not limited to: Carrier Aging Reports, ACS Web reports)
  • Facilitate problem resolution with Customer/carriers in a timely manner, and effectively communicate relevant information to Account Manager(s) and/or Team Leader FAP
  • Establishes and maintains solid Customer and carrier relationships by handling inquiries professionally, and in a timely manner
  • Ability to interpret and apply the applicable carrier contracts for assigned accounts
  • Organize all manual carrier invoices within mail slots for prioritization
  • Prepare and issue weekly Customer invoices, ensuring accuracy
  • Work with Customer on any issues and ensure Account Manager(s) is advised
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for assigned Customers and carriers
  • Support the Team Leader FAP with miscellaneous projects
  • Ensure standards of productivity in line with corporate Key Performance Indicators
  • Suggest process improvements to promote efficiencies and workflow
  • Filing as required

Requirements:

  • Possess necessary speed and accuracy in data entry to support corporate standards
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Transportation experience is required
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess excellent command of the English language and strong telephone etiquette
  • Customer service experience is an asset

Programmer

Department: IT
Reports To: Director, Information Technology

Position based in Brampton, Ontario.
This position will be responsible for all technical application needs within ACS.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation, setup, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of all database-related functions within ASP/ASP.NET environment.
  • Maintaining existing database servers and applications using available administration tools, including maintenance during after-hours and weekend maintenance windows.
  • Troubleshooting of Application and Database issues with the rest of the Operations team (System Administration, Application Support, Network Administration).
  • Completion of database tasks and activities on projects involving the deployment of application databases. Implementation of necessary database configuration to support these projects.
  • Contribute to the development of an efficient, effective organization that uses repeatable and defined processes, standards, and procedures. Implement, and maintain the processes involved in database administration and maintenance, and automate where appropriate.
  • Develop and test web, client server and database solutions in a .NET environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience of .Net development
  • In-depth technical knowledge of SQL Server 2000 Enterprise
  • Hands-on experience with C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JavaScript, CSS, ASP, XML, and HTML is a must
  • Extensive experience creating, analyzing, and optimizing stored procedures for SQL Server
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert level skills in MS Access 2000
  • Skilled at working on interface applications, forms, queries, and reports
  • Experience Writing Scripts, Coding, and Testing pages
  • Must be able to work extended hours and be on-call for troubleshooting

Outside Sales / Account Manager

Department: Sales - Dallas
Reports To: Dallas Station Manager

Position based in Dallas, Texas.
This position will be responsible for lead generation, onsite and telemarketing sales calls. It will qualify and create new customers along with maintaining their existing customer base. It will assist in the collection of there account receivables where needed. It will also be responsible for maintaining accurate information on all accounts created.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Generate qualified sales leads
  • On site sales calls presenting ACS
  • Closing of customers to secure revenue generation
  • Building presentation formats and proposals
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction for repeat opportunities
  • Work closely with operations team to ensure proper customer requirements
  • Assist in delinquent accounts

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proper work ethic
  • Setting of weekly, monthly and annual revenue goals
  • 1-2 years experience in freight forwarding sales
  • Dependable vehicle for transportation

International Manager

Department: Freight Forwarding
Reports To: Director of Operations

Position based in Dallas, Texas.
This position requires an experienced International freight forwarding Manager who is well-connected and respected in the industry. The person will have developed a great reputation for integrity with air and ocean carriers and have the ability to roll up their sleeves and be a proactive, hands-on person in supporting our field stations with developing RFQs/RFPs. The International Manager will have a keen eye to profitability and is seasoned at routing options as well as negotiations.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Initial step will be to review and assess the rates, pricing files and process's currently held.
  • Manage a team to efficient work flow and customer service.
  • Establish a new filing system comprising all of the current and newly created rate and vendor information.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of new and existing training processes, documentation and manuals.
  • Participate as a senior manager in the development of process's and procedures.
  • Cover modes of transport to include International air and ocean.
  • Participate in overseas agent development
  • Ongoing monitoring and overseeing of pricing activities.
  • Possess the ability to switch hats from Manager to providing spot quotes when requested by sales and marketing; to managing the process and performing the necessary research, calls and negotiations to create the rates and pricing matrix covering all international modes of transport.
  • Analyze profitability on accounts to ensure maximum amount of profitability is met.
  • Prepare RFQ packages and quote proposals sent to customers.
  • Scrutinize and determine use of all carriers and agents currently worked with
  • Establish pricing structures; analyze sales reports, buyer statistics, product data and competitors' market position.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of promotion programs for product lines

Position Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent
  • 10 to 15 years of management with International Transportation.
  • Rates and Pricing experience within Freight Forwarding or closely related third-party logistics provider.
  • Must have excellent relations established with International air and ocean carriers.
  • Analytical, logical thinker; possessing a keen market awareness and ability to determine profitability of a proposed contract.
  • Knowledgeable about competitors' service offerings.
  • Excellent customer service skills; a problem-solver and solutions provider.
  • Proactive, hands-on attitude; innovative and creative.
  • Computer skills to include proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and ability to navigate the internet.
